Steve is Associate Partner of Hofer Tan Partners based in Hong Kong and with regional activities as a professional facilitator, coach, and trainer, specialising in leadership effectiveness, team dynamics, organisational learning, service culture, and innovation.

His experience as a business leader comes from 20 years working for Cathay Pacific Airways as a Head of Learning and Development. He has worked in over 100 cities and 40 countries leading global assessment, learning, and development programs that build employee engagement, operational excellence, and customer-centric service cultures.

He is an accomplished senior executive and corporate learning and development professional. Steve has a strong reputation for delivering world-class learning solutions that transform mindsets and behaviours in support of organisational performance aims and change.

As a member of the firms’ Leadership Consulting and Advisory practice, Steve is known for facilitating highly collaborative meetings, and events that craft business strategy and define new ways of working. He can quickly get to the heart of issues, embed new behaviours, drive decision making, inspire action and achieve real-world results. He is an expert in experiential learning, accelerated learning and adult learning principles.

Steve is passionate when it comes to helping teams solving problems innovatively and has recently attended the Stanford University Executive Education Program for Design Thinking. He is also passionate when it comes to building personal effectiveness, creative confidence, and growth mindsets.

Steve holds a degree in BA from Boston College and an EMBA from the University of Western Ontario.
